We are immensely proud of the strong pastoral care system we have at Alleyn’s and this begins with the student’s first stages with us and continues right the way through to their time in the Sixth Form. In the Sixth Form students remain part of their House, but tutor groups are mixed to help integrate new students who join for Sixth Form and offering a new experience for our existing students.
Moving into, or joining the Sixth Form can correlate with a time of excitement but also expectation, ambition and pressure about the future, as pupils move onto the next and final stage of their schooling journey. We are here to support them every step of the way! Not only do we have a dedicated Upper School pastoral team focused on supporting our senior students, but a pastoral care centered approach is interwoven into every facet of school life. Pupils will have a relationship with their Head of House, someone who will know them well outside of the classroom setting and who can be a figure for advice and support, and of course their teachers are always there for guidance.
