AiQ
Our AiQ curriculum (Alleyn’s Intelligence Quotient) prepares our pupils for the future, building an agile understanding of tech along with the intellectual skills and ethical principles to use it in the right way. At Alleyn’s Hampstead, AiQ is brought to life through All Studios – dedicated spaces that support innovation, collaboration, ideas immersion and student voice. Facilities reflecting the All Studios concept will be integrated across each of our campuses, ensuring that children from Nursery through to Sixth Form benefit from this empowering curriculum.
AiQ is an interdisciplinary curriculum which fosters pupils’ ability to understand and direct meaningful technological progress while applying sustainable and regenerative thinking. It is taught alongside traditional academic subjects by teachers expert in a wide range of disciplines, and has been developed in partnership with universities, creatives, technologists and entrepreneurs: our courses are wide-ranging and open-minded by design.

AEQ
Based at The Well, our proactive pastoral care programme the AEQ helps pupils develop the tools to manage their own well-being and build their sense of identity, through an empowering values, character and leadership programme, whilst being supported and recognised in the school environment. In the good times, and in more challenging times, the AEQ is designed to support every day of a pupil’s time at school.
Each Alleyn’s Hampstead campus will have The Well, carefully tailored to the needs of its age group. Through this values-based and relational approach, pupils grow in confidence and character within a culture of kindness, respect and belonging.

ALL IN
Our extensive co-curricular and Partnership programme ‘All In’, complements the academic curriculum, providing every child with the opportunity to try out new things and to find out more about themselves. Our programmes encourage participation for all, aiming to grow personal interests and talents, developing well-rounded individuals who have empathy and contribute to society.
Given our artistic and dramatic C17th Founder, our commitment to and engagement with the Arts has been a longstanding element of an Alleyn’s education and is very important in setting the tone, bringing joy, developing imaginations, individuality, confidence and teamwork. Along with Sport, Adventure Education, and a very extensive partnerships programme, the Arts are at the heart of our “All In” co-curricular provision.
At Alleyn’s Hampstead Junior School, All In offers a diverse and evolving programme of clubs and activities, tailored to pupils’ stages and interests. These include creative, cultural, social, intellectual and physical pursuits – ranging from Lego and storytelling to cookery, ukulele, and gardening. Children also enjoy performances, trips, pupil-led committees, and charitable initiatives, developing leadership, curiosity and confidence.
In the Senior School, All In expands further, with opportunities that challenge and inspire. Pupils take part in academic societies, debate, music production, sports teams, yoga, model making, and philosophy, as well as contributing to school culture through charitable initiatives and student committees. The programme changes termly to remain fresh and engaging, supported by wider enrichment through trips, residentials, exhibitions, and nationally recognised awards.
Whether on stage, in the lab, on the sports field or in the studio, All In ensures that every pupil has the chance to flourish beyond the classroom – and to find joy in the journey.

Aspiring Minds
The name for our scholarship programme, ‘Aspiring Minds’, is inspired by our founder, Edward Alleyn. Playing the lead role in Marlowe’s thrilling epic, Tamburlaine, Alleyn spoke these words many times:
“Nature, that fram'd us of four elements Warring within our breasts for regiment, Doth teach us all to have aspiring minds.”
Whether taking part in workshops run by expert speakers from around the world, creating a rocket the size of a tin can, competing in a maths Olympiad or taking to the stage in our Big NED or TEDx speaking events, our academic enrichment programme Aspiring Minds gives our children the chance to go beyond the curriculum, build their intellectual fire power and discover more about the world around them.

All Together
Alleyn's Events cement what it means to be part of such a vibrant school community. Every Alleyn’s school year is framed by important events, celebrated by the whole Alleyn’s family. From the Matriculation of new pupils, through our Big NED talks and TEDx, Alleyn’s School Youth to our summer Founder’s Day and Celebration Day: these are moments that every student enjoys and they bring a unique and formative shape to their entire school journey.

Physical Environment
At Alleyn’s, we know that the spaces in which children learn shape how they feel, grow, and succeed. Whether they’re exploring in our classrooms, collaborating in All Studios, performing in the Bear Pits, or finding calm in The Well, every environment is designed to be creative, inclusive, and inspiring – a place where every child feels they belong.
Over the next 18 months, all three Alleyn’s Hampstead campuses will undergo a transformational redevelopment. From new builds and remodelling to full refurbishments, our aim is to create world-class facilities that reflect the ambition of an Alleyn’s education.
As part of this redevelopment, the Senior School campus will be extended and reimagined to include new specialist classrooms, collaborative learning zones, and dedicated spaces for Sixth Form study and social life. From September 2025, the top floor will be transformed into a bespoke Sixth Form hub, opening with a new common room for our first Year 12 cohort. These enhancements build on the existing character of our site – a beautiful Victorian building with large classrooms, specialist science labs, a drama studio, ICT suites, and an open-plan art room. Flexible teaching spaces are designed to support different styles of learning, while quiet corners provide room for reflection or small group work.
Our Nursery and Pre-Prep site will expand into a Junior School, welcoming Year 3 to Year 6 pupils in 2026. At Fitzjohn’s Avenue and Netherhall Gardens, additional classrooms, communal areas and specialist spaces – including The Well and All Studios – will support collaborative and pastoral learning.
Design at Alleyn’s is never incidental. From lighting and acoustics to biophilia, textures and ergonomics, every element is chosen to support wellbeing and engagement. Through Smart School partnerships with leaders like HPE and UCL, we are also piloting future-facing learning technologies.
Sustainability is at the heart of our approach. Through the All Now programme, we embed the principles of Reduce, Reuse, Responsibility and Regenerate into our building plans, while ‘Putting the All in Alleyn’s’ programme ensures that our spaces are inclusive, shaped through consultation with leading inclusivity design experts.

Thought Leadership
The future of education is very important to us at Alleyn’s and, working with partners from MIT and Imperial through to the Coalition for Youth Mental Health in Schools and the Foundation for Education Development, we seek to harness the latest thinking for the benefit of children in our schools and across the world.

ROCCK Values
An Alleyn’s education is not a road but a river, not a hard, straight line but a vibrant, twisting, turning cascade of experiences, carrying us into the sea of life ready to be all we can be.

Academic Life
Our children find joy in learning, in discovering the world and who they are.
Admissions
At Alleyn's Hampstead we aim to inspire, educate and protect our children. We help them to learn, grow and thrive on their journey to reach their full potential inside and outside of the classroom.
